We are a full-service travel agency located in th Olympic Evergreen Building on Highway 3(across from the library) in Belfair. Our agency can provide you with all of your travel needs. From cruises, tours, packages to hotel, car, and air reservations you can expect our agents to be educated and professional. Customer Service is very important to us and is the foundation of our agency. It is not uncommon for our customers to just drop in and have a cup of coffee and tell us about their current vacation. We have created an agency with a comfortable and relaxed home-town atmosphere over the years and look forward to serving you for many years to come.

History

Hood Canal Travel, Inc. was formed in 1980 by the Swanson and Anderson families.

Our agency specializes with years of knowledge in the industry. We know Reno, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, South Pacific, Europe, and the rest of the world. We also have a lot of experience in cruises and tours. At least once or twice a year we also have geneology groups going to various destinations.

After the Anderson's retired in the mid 1980's, Marianne and Hugh Swanson continued their work as travel agents and owners.

Marianne went on to earn her CTC (certified travel consultant) and traveled extensively. She loved to learn about a destination in order to give the best service to her clients. Hugh followed with his love for Alaska and husky dogs.

After the unexpected death of Marianne in October, 1997, the oldest daughter Leanne Swanson Sanchez joined the agency full time in March, 1998 (see link at left).

Hugh and Marianne's youngest daughter, Susanne joined the agency full-time in 2001.

Betty Kay Anderson from the Fiske Library in Seattle leads these groups.

Several outside agents also are present in the community.

Shirley Clinton from Union, Washington has always specialized in Mexico.

Toni Probert is a teacher from Shelton, Washington and has traveled around the United States as well as being active in the Kitsap County Rodeo!

Kathy Kravitz is in Olympia, Washington and specializes in cruises and family vacations.

Lora Hewins is also a teacher and has traveled the world to such remote places as the Antarctic, Nepal, Australia, and England just to mention a few.
